Archive Policy

BORASPATI Journal is committed to the long-term preservation of scholarly research. We recognize that digital content can be fragile, and therefore, we employ a multi-layered archiving strategy to ensure that all published articles remain accessible to future generations of researchers, even in the event of a system failure.

1. Digital Preservation Systems

To guarantee the permanent availability of our content, BORASPATI Journal utilizes the following international preservation networks:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): We utilize the PKP PN to digitally preserve our OJS content. This ensures that our journal is archived in a decentralized network of libraries worldwide.

  • LOCKSS & CLOCKSS: Our journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. This allows those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

2. National Archiving & Indexing

In addition to international networks, BORASPATI Journal is systematically archived in Indonesian national databases to ensure local accessibility:

  • National Library of Indonesia (Perpustakaan Nasional RI): We comply with the national mandate for digital deposits (Karya Cetak Karya Rekam).

  • GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital): All metadata and full texts are regularly synchronized with the GARUDA portal.

  • Indonesian OneSearch (IOS): Our metadata is harvested by IOS to provide wider discovery across Indonesian library networks.

3. Self-Archiving Policy (Green Open Access)

BORASPATI Journal encourages authors to self-archive their work. Following the "Green Open Access" model, we permit:

  • Pre-print: Authors may share their original manuscript (before review) at any time.

  • Post-print: Authors may archive the accepted version (after review) in their institutional repositories.

  • Version of Record (VoR): Authors are encouraged to share the final, published PDF (with DOI) on personal websites, ResearchGate, LinkedIn, or institutional repositories, provided that proper attribution is given to BORASPATI Journal as the original publisher.

4. Redundancy & Backups

The publisher, PT. Batak Story Pedia, maintains daily automated backups of the OJS database and file directory on secure, geographically separated servers to prevent data loss due to technical failures or cyber threats.

5. Article Withdrawal & Correction

Articles are intended to be permanent records. We will not remove published articles unless they involve serious ethical violations (e.g., plagiarism) or valid legal orders. In such rare cases, a "Retraction Note" will be published to maintain the transparency of the scholarly record.
