Publication Process

BORASPATI Journal is committed to a transparent, rigorous, and efficient editorial workflow. We ensure that every manuscript is handled professionally from submission to global dissemination. Below is our step-by-step publication roadmap:

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts exclusively through our Online Submission System (OJS). Submissions must strictly follow the BORASPATI Journal Template and include a signed Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA) and Author Declaration.

2. Desk Review (Initial Screening)

The Editorial Team performs a preliminary evaluation. We check for:

  • Alignment with Focus and Scope.

  • Adherence to formatting and citation guidelines.

  • Basic English/Indonesian academic language quality. Manuscripts that fail this stage are "Declined" or "Returned for Correction" before entering the review stage.

3. Rigorous Plagiarism Screening

Integrity is our priority. Every manuscript is screened using Turnitin. BORASPATI Journal maintains a strict maximum similarity threshold of 15%. Submissions exceeding this limit will be rejected immediately to maintain original scholarship.

4. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the desk review are assigned to at least two independent experts in the relevant field. To ensure objectivity, the identities of authors and reviewers are kept strictly confidential. Reviewers evaluate the Novelty, Methodology, and Scientific Contribution of the work.

5. Editorial Decision

Based on the peer-review reports, the Section Editor makes a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief. The decision categories are:

  • Accept Submission (No changes required).

  • Revisions Required (Minor changes).

  • Resubmit for Review (Major changes & a second round of review).

  • Decline Submission (Not suitable for publication).

6. Technical Revision

Authors are given a specific timeframe to address the reviewers' comments. A "Revision Note" or "Response to Reviewers" must be submitted alongside the revised manuscript to explain the changes made.

7. Copyediting and Production

Once accepted, the manuscript enters the production phase:

  • Copyediting: Improving grammar, clarity, and flow.

  • Layout Editing: Formatting the paper into the final journal PDF style.

  • Proofreading: Final check by the author to ensure no typographical errors remain.

8. Final Publication & Indexing

The article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and published online. As an Open Access journal, the full text is immediately available to the global academic community.

9. Post-Publication & Archiving

BORASPATI Journal ensures long-term preservation of your work through digital archiving (e.g., PKP Preservation Network). Authors are encouraged to promote their published DOI via ResearchGate, LinkedIn, and other academic networks to enhance visibility and citation.
